"Ask Alec", that is what we say quite a lot in our family. Alec is 17, and when a question comes up in his area of expertise, you can be confident that he will know the answer! But it wasn't always that way. When he was three years old, we worried that he might never speak again. At the age of one, he had started talking and then, mysteriously, lost all language and personality. Outwardly, he looked ill with dark circles under his eyes and frequent colds and flu.

I love my little guy with every cell in my body and I will never give up!
We got married and wanted to start a family right away. Well to make that long story short, we ended up having 6 miscarriages and we were riding the fertility roller coaster for a few years. As time went on and the sicker I got from the fertility medicine, we finally came to our senses and decided to jump on the adoption roller coaster. That in itself was quite a ride. But at the end, we ended up with a beautiful healthy baby boy.
