Area teens invest time, efforts to help autistic teens

Tuesday September 15 2009

A group of teens got together in Austin Saturday to help raise money to fight autism.

Teens4Autism hosted nearly 20 bands and a live auction at the Austin Music Hall.

Organizers said teens have such an impact when they stand up for something they believe in.

"It's a very serious problem right now, but we wanted to have fun and bring people together for a great night of entertainment and also raise awareness as well," Co-founder Teens4Autism Georgia Napolitano said. "It's already so fun and it hasn't even started yet."

The funds raised will be donated to Austin's Thoughtful House Center for Children. For more information, visit ThoughtfulHouse.org or Teens4Autism.org.
